Resident Council only- Resident and family councils can help communications with staff. Federal law requires nursing homes to allow councils to be set up by residents and families. My mother was admitted to this nursing & rehab two years ago. The environment in this building was old and gloomy and seeing disabled elderly everywhere made me depressed. It made my mother, who at that time, was 91 years old more depressed also.
Knowing that Mom was in good care when we were not there really helped our family be at peace. I can’t say enough about this team, especially those working in the southwest wing! Thank you to team Hughes for taking such wonderful care of Mom over that last four plus years. May the good Lord continue to watch over you, your families and those that you continue to care for each day. She is very aggressive and impatient with her patients . I’ve seen her handle her own patients very aggressively and mistreats them and throws them around . She would throw her around and very very aggressive with her as well . I tried complaining about this they said they would give me a call back and I’ve never heard anything so I had to discharge my mother and moved her to a different facility. I hope this worker Michelle Gonzalez gets fired soon. And if you’re thinking about taking your family member here please just be aware.
